Kristie & Kieran Married at the beach • Stone Harbor Women’s Civic Club

Kristie and Kieran may have been the most relaxed easy going bride and groom this year. I guess a living in California making your own brand of wine helps that! (I don’t drink on the job, but I had to have a taste and it was delicious). They were my kind of bride and groom. Beach wedding – check. Relaxed, fun, casual and emotional wedding ceremony – check. Tastykakes, Yuengling and a roast pig at the reception – check. Surrounded by lots of family and friends that were there to see them finally get married and celebrate with them – check.
Special thanks to my second shooter Karin Belgrave!

Kim & Greg Married! • Mendenhall Inn

Kim and Greg had a great University of Delaware themed wedding. They met there their freshman year, and yada, yada, yada, nine years later they got married. We had a chance to meet them at The Mendenhall Inn, then went to the University to take photos of the bride, groom and wedding party. Nothing makes you feel like you’re ten years removed from college then going to visit a college. Thanks Kim and Greg for such a great time and best of luck!

Heather & Mike Engaged! • Ridley Creek State Park, Media, PA

I had such a great time while shooting Heather and Mike’s engagement session last Saturday. We met at Ridley Creek State Park and walked around near the creek and hiking paths to start off. They didn’t set their expectations as models very high, mostly because they would be laughing and goofing off most of the time. While that was true, we did make a lot of great photos. It was great being outside on a nice day with a couple who was willing to go crawling across logs, stand in freezing cold streams, and lay in the tall grass. I can’t wait for their wedding in July!

Jaime & Ryan Married • Backyard Wedding Vineland, NJ

Jaime and Ryan had an awesome laid back family style wedding on a beautiful, sunny fall October day. They did most of the work preparing for the wedding themselves with a lot of help from the family. After the ceremony we were able to drive down to the local park had a chance to walk around and take lots of photos. I’m told the party went on well into the night with many games of corn hole played.

Linsday & Mike Engaged! • Valley Forge National Park • Art Museum • Center City Philadelphia

This is going to be a long one! Lindsay and Mike were ambitious with their engagement photos. I’m always up for anything, and I love walking around just kind of finding stuff as we go along. They were up for this and more! “Can we go stand in the tall grass? Can we climb up this hill? Oh, the covered bridge is a quarter mile down this sketchy road? Sure we’ll go.” And after about 10 seconds of being photographed they were completely relaxed. They were up for just about everything and had a blast climbing around Valley Forge National Park, walking around (Lindsay in high heels no less!)the Art Museum, Love Park and City Hall.

Casey & Nick Married! • Fonthill Castle, Doylestown, PA

Casey and Nick had perfect light for their wedding day. I know, it might be weird to lead with the lighting conditions, but the overcast sky made for perfect conditions at the Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, PA. They had a touching outside ceremony with a small group of family and friends. All photos shot for JDN Photography.

Christine & Philip Married! • Hagley Museum and Soda House • Wilmington, DE

Christine and Philip had a whirlwind wedding day. They had a sunny beautiful fall day at a great venue – the Hagley Museum and Soda House in Wilmington, DE. We didn’t have much time for photos – only about 15 minutes with just the bride and groom, but we managed to walk around the grounds and make some great photos in a short amount of time.

Blair & Ridge Married • The Franklin Institute • Philadelphia, PA

Blair and Ridge had an ambitious plan for their wedding day. They got ready at the Four Seasons, met at Logan Square, then took a bus around the city with the bridal party for photos before the wedding. We stopped at South Broad St, Love Park, and the <a href=”http://www.philamuseum.org‎” title=”Art Museum” target=”new”>Art Museum</a> before heading back to the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Peter and Paul for the wedding.

After the wedding, everyone was lead to the <a href=”http://www.fi.edu” title=”Franklin Institute” target=”new”>Franklin Institute</a> by a bagpiper. It was a lot of fun seeing the giant heart and the museum and they did a great job lighting and decorating the auditorium where the reception was held.
