Pam & Jeff Married! • Knowlton Mansion • Philadelphia, PA

Pam and Jeff had a long wedding day – one for the record books. They decided to have two ceremonies; one Sikh ceremony in the morning, then group for a more western style ceremony later in the day. It was our first time shooting a Sikh wedding and it was interesting! I had a lot of help from Rashi and her team at Event Nirvana and can’t thank them enough for keeping everything running smooth. And also the guys from Ambrosial Films who helped us along with all the details and rules of the Gurudwara. The second ceremony was at the beautiful Knowlton Mansion in Northeast Philadelphia.  A big thanks to my second shooter Matt Hildebrandt for sticking it out with us!

Jennifer & Kieran Engaged! • Hagley Museum • Wilmington, DE

blog01

Jennifer and Kieran had a great day walking around the grounds at the Hagley Museum. We never know what to expect when you get new people in front the camera, but they had me laughing the whole time. We had a lot of fun stick/sword figthing, climbing on the train tracks and exploring the grounds. I can’t wait for their backyard wedding in July!

One of my favorite reasons for shooting at Hagley is all the textures and lots of shade.

We had a great time with Jeff & Pat at the Tyler Arboretum for their engagement session. Jeff loves the arboretum and when he suggested it as a place to shoot their engagement session, I jumped at the opportunity. We did manage one of the warmer days this winter, and even though there was a lot of snow on the ground, they were troopers and had a great time.

Shelly & Dennis Married! • Soda House and Hagley Museum, Wilmington, DE

I knew Shelly and Dennis’s wedding was going to be unique when she mentioned there would be a robot flower girl. We had a great time walking around the Hagley Museum grounds with the wedding party and our awesome guide Dot. The Museum is actually the first place the DuPont’s set up their business when they came to the United States – and the grounds are so big they give you a guide. There’s all kinds of old buildings and mills along the river that we were able to use as a backdrop for Shelly and Dennis. When it came time for the ceremony, the robot flower girl performed perfectly, spreading rose petals as it made its way up the stairs and to the altar.

Heather & Michael Married • Greystone Hall, West Chester, PA

You may remember Heather and Mike from the blog just a few months ago. They were the ones who wanted to walk through the mud in Ridley Creek State Park and recreate the Dirty Dancing tree-over-the-creek scene. They got married not very long after that engagement session on a hazy, hot and humid July day at the Greystone Hall in West Chester, PA. A quick tangent on Greystone Hall first. Holy cow! That place is beautiful. Everywhere you look is an amazing backdrop. It was also my first experience working with the Video and DJ guys at Lovesick, Inc. They made the day a lot of fun and kept everyone on the dance floor well into the night.

Heather and Mike wanted to see each other before the wedding, but we didn’t have much time. Luckily we were operate on a limited timeline to come up with some great photos before the ceremony and a few fun ones after the ceremony with Mike’s ’32 Ford. I even got to sit in the rumble seat and go for a ride with the new bride and groom! There were too many photos to choose from for the blog, so I just put them all, up. Get your scrolling finger ready!

Megan & Mike Engaged • Chesapeake Bay, MD

When Megan and Mike asked about an engagement session at their grandparent’s house by the bay I was in! It was a beautiful drive on old roads through farm fields and ended on the banks of the Sassafras River. We were able to take a walk along the river,  through the farm fields and even a boat ride across the river to watch the sunset.

Kellie & Amadou Married! • Hyatt Bellevue, Philadelphia, PA

I’m going to be honest with this one, I wasn’t sure what to expect! Kellie and Amadou were a little light on details when we were planning their wedding photography and for good reason – they were both graduating Med School two days before. I quickly realized that they were both laid back and were up for whatever I asked of them. We were able to make a few quick photos on Broad St then made a quick run up to Hahnemann Hospital for a few photos between rain showers.

The ceremony was held at the Hyatt Bellevue, and they were surrounded with close family and friends. Amadou’s family is originally from South Africa, so they were able to do a joint ceremony to honor both both African and traditional customs. 0H8A2910
